A Message from Yard Sale Coordinator, Annamarie Sousa:

Hope everyone is doing well.  We have been so very lucky this year with such a light winter; it’s been the best winter for us by far. 

      Well, it’s “That Time of Year Again!”  I have been asked by our front office president if I will hold another yard sale, since the office has been receiving phone calls already inquiring about the famous yard sale.  Of course, I said “yes.”  I have been very fortunate in the past to have the cooperation of each and every family that has taken part in the yard sale and I have had the pleasure of meeting some very nice people. The yard sale gives us time to spend with our community neighbors and do a little shopping, and hopefully some selling, at the same time. 

     The next yard sale is going to be held on Saturday, May 26th from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a rain date of Sunday, May 27th.  This is Memorial Day weekend and this is when many, many families in the Town of Milford, as well as our surrounding communities, seem to hold their yard sales. We have been told by shoppers who frequent our sale that they like the idea of being able to go to different communities on the same day and that they love the fact that we are easy to see, since we are set up right on the front lawn of our community, and that we are easy to reach, no need to drive through the community.  So, as in the past, the same rules will apply.  There will be a deposit taken of $10, which I will return to you at the end of the sale day as long as all of your items are removed from the lawn and there isn’t any garbage left behind.  You can drop off your deposit either at the front office OR at my home; my house is at 106 Waterwheel Road, and I have a black mailbox on my front deck. You can leave your deposit in that box if I am not at home.  Whether you leave your deposit at the office or in my mailbox, please be sure you place the deposit in a sealed envelope and include your name, physical address, email address and phone number.  It is very important I have this updated information in the event of a last minute change in plans. 

     I look forward to seeing each and every one of you and hopefully we will have more and more families joining in. IF you know of any family that would like to take part, please pass this email along to them.  Also, please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in joining in since our residents have first priority; I am only able to allow nonresidents to participate once I know how much space we will require.
